SEEKING: Marketing Coordinator (Creative, Events & Social Media)

Part-time contract position with growth opportunity, ~20 hours/week

Location: Burlingame, CA (2 days/week in office + work from home option)

We’re looking for a jack of all trades-type person who is technology proficient with at least a few years of experience in marketing and/or events ~ someone who can roll up their sleeves and dig into everything from social media strategy, to graphic design management, to email blast development. You will be an integral part of increasing LymeLight awareness to a broader donor base, helping to execute LymeLight events, and managing the art database for our largest annual fundraiser.

  • Project manage Graphic Designer in creation of annual “Dart for Art” print catalog
    • Manage art database software to maintain accurate and clean data
  • Guide Graphic Designer in creation of social media graphics, event signage, advertisements and other graphic needs throughout the year
  • Update, and continually improve upon, email blasts in MailChimp to grow our supporter base
    • Create content for e-blasts, and import updated contact lists from CRM
    • Create social media campaigns and schedules, develop content for posts
      Manage Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Manage print production of annual “Dart for Art” print catalog, brochures and flyers, and event signage
  • Work with colleagues to select marketing swag; research vendors, place orders
  • Occasionally develop written material for PR opportunities before, and after, annual “Dart for Art” event
    • Occasionally craft verbiage for website; coordinate updates through Webmaster
  • Support in the planning and production of various events and fundraisers, including annual “Dart for Art” (March) and Grant Recipient Reception (August)
    • Help manage artwork inventory (both digital and physical) leading up to event
    • Help create PPT content for event presentations, when needed
    • Provide on-site support during both annual events


  • College degree, or currently majoring in relevant area, with part-time availability to work
  • Event, marketing &/or project management experience
  • Basic knowledge of marketing automation tools (MailChimp, Mail Merge)
  • Familiarity with database software (CRM, Box, etc.)
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Word
  • Experience managing Social Media channels, creative thinker
  • Excellent organizational & time management skills
  • Honed oral & written communication skills
  • Can do attitude, roll up your sleeves work style
  • PLUS: Basic graphic design skills (Adobe Acrobat)
  • Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends to support bi-annual events
  • Interest in non-profit and a desire to help others; experience with Lyme disease or other autoimmune/chronic illness
