Raising Hope for Families with Lyme

Eman Qaysia 2Eman – Optimistic and Hopeful

I would like to thank you for giving opportunities to people like me for better health; the financial support has helped me so much. Six months ago I was not able to walk nor was I able to leave the house. Now I am happy to say that my health has improved drastically with intravenous antibiotic therapy.

I am nowhere near a hundred percent, but now I am well enough to leave the house and participate in daily life activities. Six months ago, I was bed bound and I had to quit nursing school and cancel my wedding because I was so ill. Now I am happy to say that I will be getting married in few months.

I still experience a lot of symptoms and I won’t be able to go back to school anytime soon, but I am optimistic and hopeful that one day I will finish my education. My energy has increased and the pain levels decreased. I still have a lot of neurological symptoms and that will need more time and more treatment to improve.

I cannot thank you enough for the opportunities this grant has given me. It has changed my life and I was able to get the extra things I needed for my health that otherwise I would not been able to get. No one in my family was able to support me financially as we are a family of seven and having a very hard time financially.

I will never forget your help, and my dream is to one day be healthy enough and be able to help other Lyme disease sufferers.

Thank you so much.
