“The Language of Light” / artist statement Aondrea Maynard’s abstract paintings are modern interpretations of the Natural world that explore the emotionally evocative power of color and light as seduction, invitation and sanctuary. These paintings utilize new mark making techniques to discover a richer world of the serendipitous to liberate the creative process and nourish the senses as they invite the viewer into a more mysterious world beyond word and representation. “If I could feed you drops of moonlight and weave rays of sunlight in your hair, I would”. May “The Language of Light” speak volumes in serenity, intrigue and repose that is ever-expansive, transformative, and inclusive.
