My paintings are pictures of the way I experience the world. I wake up each day with a head full of pictures. I see colors all around me, hues of every sort.
I have traveled the world over, wanting to see everything I can. After many years, the images have all merged and are now starting to emerge. In my latest work these images are swirled in my emotions and splayed across the canvas. I paint primarily with my hands. I love the feel of moving the pigment with my fingers, smudging a bold mark in with the palm of my hand, dabbling with the edge of my pinky those smallest of details. I know it is time to stop for the day when I start to realize where I am and what I am doing. I don't work by completing objects in the composition, I listen to the color and the balance and try to follow the dance.
