How can you help? Support Austin and LymeLight Foundation with each mile of his journey.

Austin will be cycling 4,000 miles to raise awareness and support children with Lyme disease. His goal is to complete the journey in 60 days riding about 70 miles a day. He plans on taking a Northern route going through Yosemite, Yellowstone, the Dakotas, Chicago and finally ending in New York where he will meet his family after 2 long months of missing them.

He chose to ride for LymeLight Foundation because he has two friends with Lyme disease. Both of them have had the will and the money to fight Lyme disease and yet they still suffer from it in different ways every day. His goal is to raise $20,000 to cover treatment grants for two children who have the will but who do not have the money. If riding 4,000 miles can save two children, his mission will be accomplished!

His ride will be unsupported, meaning that he won’t have any support vehicles. He will carry what he needs and will depend on the kindness of strangers for a place to sleep. He is paying for this trip completely out of pocket. All funds donated to LymeLight will go directly to a child with Lyme disease. 100% of donations received are directed to treatment grants as no fees or operational expenses will be deducted donations.

The donation he hopes for is one penny a mile. If he makes it to New York that will be $40.00 from each person. If you cannot afford $40.00, please consider donating one penny for every two miles. Every dollar counts! If you are feeling generous, you may donate $100 or more to celebrate the completion of his journey!

He plans to leave on May 15th and finish by July 14th. He wants to finish at the Statue of Liberty where he will meet his family and hold his bike high knowing he has raised money for children with Lyme and accomplished a personal goal that he has been dreaming of for 2 years.

Anything you can do to help along the way is much appreciated. He looks very forward to celebrating with his family, friends, and donors on July 14th.
