Madeline, a LymeLight grant recipient, and her mother Becca, hosted two events to raise money for LymeLight during Lyme Disease Awareness Month. First they teamed up with CrossFit Warpath for a very creative “Lift for Lyme“ event which featured a lemonade stand, specially designed t-shirts, Lyme disease awareness bracelets and tick keys for sale. A few days later they, along with Re/Max Realty, sponsored a huge raffle for fun and unique “Backyard Bash” items as a perfect kick-off for summer. They sold 100 tickets at $20 each. Madeline and Becca, along with their friends and local community, came together to learn about Lyme disease and help others like Madeline have access to medical care. The events were family-oriented with participants of all ages and sizes!
“LymeLight Foundation has been such a special part of Madeline’s healing process. The grant gave her the hope she needed to get better”, explains Becca. “We chose to fundraise for LymeLight as it is a reputable organization with a great vetting process in place, which puts one’s mind at ease when giving financially. They strive to bring awareness, up-to-date progress in the treatment of Lyme and hope to children battling this horrific disease. We are forever grateful to all of the wonderful staff, Board of Directors members, Volunteers and Donors that make up such an amazing organization.”
