How you can help? Support
LymeLight Foundation

The Theta Chi Fraternity at the University of Florida holds an annual Sweetheart 501’s Favorite Competition in which they find their dream girl. Every sorority nominates a representative who raises money for a charity near and dear to her heart. Dani Donshik was the representative for the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority and raised money for LymeLight Foundation.

After being diagnosed with Lyme disease, Dani knows of the struggles and strengths that one needs to possess in order to combat and live with a chronic illness. Therefore, the nonprofit organization Dani chose to support was LymeLight Foundation. The reason Dani chose this foundation is because the mission is “to provide grants to enable children and young adults with Lyme disease to receive proper treatment and medication as well as raise awareness about Lyme”. Through Dani’s medical journey, she has learned to become an advocate for herself, and wants to help others who have this disease in addition to financial restraints which makes getting treatment even more of a challenge.
