How can you help?
Support LymeLight Foundation and
Celebrate Camille!

Camille and her family have been avid LymeLight Foundation champions for 10 years! They hosted
an incredible fundraiser in 2015 and Camille is back at it again! The Athearn family has been deeply
impacted by Lyme disease and knows firsthand the ravaging effects of this disease as well as the
hope that is found in the process of healing. So, when family and friends asked what Camille wanted
for her 60th Birthday celebration, she responded with,

“HOPE to all that suffer from this horrible disease – what better gift could I ask for?!”

Her desire is for other families find hope and healing in their Lyme disease journey. She is asking for
her birthday gifts to be donated to LymeLight Foundation to provide treatment grants to children
and young adults who are battling Lyme disease.

The Athearn family journey has been one of perseverance and triumph. Scott was originally thought
to have had ALS, then PLS, but found out years later he had chronic Lyme disease. Although he is
handicapped to this day due to the damage and late diagnosis of Lyme, his symptoms are now being
managed through various Lyme treatment therapies. All three of her three daughters also have
Lyme, with one being in remission. Camille has been deeply involved in their care and is grateful for
the strides of improvement her family has taken over the years.

Because of her family’s painful struggle, Camille has a passion to educate others about this very
misunderstood disease. With over 25 years of battling chronic symptoms and the 14 years it took to
discover Lyme Disease was the cause, Camille’s desire is that through education and awareness
others will not have to suffer the pain that her family has endured.

LymeLight Foundation applauds Camille – we are inspired by her compassion to help others by
providing education and advocacy for others afflicted with Lyme disease in her own community as
well as other communities.

Let’s celebrate Camille and grant her beautiful birthday wish of gifting HOPE!
