For years, Meg never thought she would be able to run again, let alone run a half marathon. This is a Lyme success story! If Meg can heal from Chronic Lyme, so can you.
Meg’s family knows intimately the hellscape that is Chronic Lyme, Babesia, and Mold Toxicity. In 2019, they moved into a home, unbeknownst to them, that had high levels of toxic mold. Soon after settling in, 4 out of 5 family members became ill with strange and debilitating symptoms. In time, after a long endurance game of misdiagnoses and self-advocacy, Meg and her son Oliver were diagnosed with Chronic Lyme and Mold Toxicity, and her son Reid with Mold Toxicity. At the same time, her husband Pete learned he had Chronic Lyme and Babesia. Meg’s daughter Ryan, the youngest, remained healthy and took care of everyone.
It’s been a long road, but from the fall of 2019 to the present, the Gorchoff family has suffered together and healed together.
As many Lyme sufferers know, most health insurance companies do not cover the cost of the most accurate tick-borne illness diagnostic panels. Equally frustrating is the reality that most insurance companies also don’t cover the cost of the most effective Lyme treatments. To choose a path of healing from Lyme, as it stands right now in our healthcare system, means to suffer great concurrent financial hardship.
Please join Meg to reach her goal of $5,000 to help others by easing the financial burden associated with overcoming Lyme! She will be running the Maine Half-Marathon in Portland, ME on Oct.1st, 2023 in support of LymeLight Foundation. The donations raised on Meg’s behalf will directly go toward providing treatment grants for children and young adults battling Lyme disease.
