Kendra Wagner has had many friends and a close family member diagnosed with Lyme disease. After seeing them struggle with the ups and downs of this non-contagious disease, it made her want to help advocate for the cause. Luckily many of those close to Kendra have fully recovered. However, there are still thousands of children and young adults all over the U.S. who are unable to receive adequate care and understanding for Lyme disease.

The Kendra Wagner Foundation, together with LymeLight Foundation, created Brighter Days Ahead Virtual 5K to create awareness and raise much need funds for the children and young adults in need of Lyme disease treatment.

Kendra chose to pair up with LymeLight Foundation because they provide grants to families who cannot afford treatment. Many treatments are not covered by insurance and are extremely expensive. Kendra’s goal is not to dwell on the past, but to focus on the present and future, so she can help those around her get better.
