I began to get very sick around 2009 with a mysterious illness. After two years of searching I finally saw a Lyme doctor who correctly diagnosed me. I spent many years in treatment, trying different options, when finally my doctor decided to put me on IV Rochephin. The treatment was very expensive and I was not going to be able to pay for it out of pocket. I also had school expenses to be able to finish my last year of college. I found out about LymeLight Foundation and was amazed to hear about an organization that helped young people with Lyme disease get treatment. The grant I received has made all the difference in my life. Not only was I able to get the medical care I needed I was able to finish college!
Now I am working in the entertainment industry on feature films and am able to hold down a steady job. I’m even able to skateboard and enjoy fun times with friends. I am even getting married in November!
Without the LymeLight Foundation I would not be where I am today.
