Marcey Anne – Dreams Do Come True

For as long as I can remember, I had a dream of becoming a successful business woman. I imagined confidently walking into the corporate office building, in my business suit, carrying my portfolio and briefcase. But Lyme invaded my life nine years ago and made this dream seem unattainable. I cried almost every day, grieving the dreams I had lost to Lyme.

A few years before I received this grant, I was so sick. I was working three part-time jobs to make ends meet and afford treatment, and I was so tired. Every day I was getting sicker and sicker trying to keep up with the pace of life. I had no external help financially, and the burden of paying for treatment was all on me. Everything seemed so hopeless. I prayed for God to make a way for me to receive the treatment I so desperately needed.

When I got the message that I had received a LymeLight grant, I was so relieved and finally had HOPE. I was able to quit two of my part-time jobs and focus on healing. With the grant money, I was able to do a year of antibiotics, UBI and ozone, herbs, and later targeted nutrition and homeopathics with two new naturopaths. I began to see my fatigue, depression, brain fog, nerve pain, joint pain, POTS, air hunger, and so many other symptoms actually began to get better, and I was so excited! I was filled with new hope, new light in my eyes, and a brighter future ahead.

Today, I would say that I am 78% better overall, and have improved at least 30% from when I first received this grant. I am happy to say that I officially have a full-time job at my corporate office. I confidently walk into the building, carrying my portfolio and briefcase wearing my business suit, and I am so happy. Thank you LymeLight for making dreams come true. Things haven’t been easy through the years, but I am here. I have improved, and I am finally living my dream.­
