Kyva – Finding the Right Path to Healing

Kyva’s recovery has truly been remarkable. I realize now that we were extremely lucky to be blessed with a pediatrician who listened and allowed me to push for, testing that helped answer questions about Kyva’s health. This included Lyme tests, allergy tests, genetic testing, blood tests, and more. The pediatrician was also instrumental in making referrals for alternative treatments and practitioners and giving natural treatment options.

Kyva experienced seizures, Bell’s Palsy, major joint pain to the point she was unable to walk, major gastrointestinal issues and intolerance to dairy and gluten, crumbling teeth, severe memory issues where she couldn’t remember how to count to ten and colors, stuttering and major speech impairments, impulse control and other neurological, ADHD-like symptoms, inability to track with her eyes, and more!

Early in her journey, Kyva tried functional medicine and naturopaths who relied on supplements and Des Bio treatments. Unfortunately, the supplement route didn’t work for Kyva because the amount of supplements was overwhelming and some she couldn’t stomach. Getting her to take all the supplements and spending the tremendous amount of money on supplements that she refused to take was added struggle/stress that neither one of us needed.

Although the protocols did help, we moved on quickly which was difficult because both practitioners came highly recommended. What helped Kyva the most was homeopathy and Field Control therapy, along with limited herbal supplements. With any protocol, it’s important to find the best practitioner. She tried homeopathy with one practitioner and didn’t see much improvement, so we switched to another, and she saw tremendous improvement. But what helped Kyva long-term was mitigating toxins in her body and environment. Clean food, water, and air; natural cleaning and beauty products; lessening EMF exposure; and detox protocols which all helped her body heal.

I didn’t realize how easy I had it until I experienced gaslighting and Lyme deniers. I tried to get Kyva accommodations at school because of her memory issues and fatigue and ran into a host of roadblocks. She tested in the 5th percentile for memory, and I was told that this is average. I was also told that her fatigue, speech, and gross motor problems couldn’t possibly be from chronic Lyme.

Needless to say, she did not get the help she needed at school. I would have loved to homeschool her to work around her physical and mental limitations, but her father tried to leverage Lyme disease and alternative modalities to paint me as crazy in a custody case. Luckily it didn’t work in his favor, and I was granted full legal and physical custody. The entire process was stressful and could have easily been debilitating for her but luckily, she was well into her healing.

I am so eternally grateful that LymeLight made it possible for Kyva to heal. I’m also happy that my journey began with a host of supportive people who listened to my concerns and went above and beyond to help her. The extent of her issues was overwhelming and if I had run into roadblocks at the beginning the struggle would have been that much more difficult. As is, it was quite the struggle and I am overjoyed that we persevered through all the physical and mental ailments and she came out the other side happy, healthy, and strong in body and spirit. She’s amazing and I am so thankful that I am Kyva’s mother.
