Dylan – From a Dark Place and into the Sunlight!

Dylan – From a Dark Place and into the Sunlight!

When Dylan was a toddler, his family was thrilled to find a new home where he could grow up happy and healthy. Alarmingly, he would have frequent bloody noses and dark circles formed under his eyes. At 15 months, Dylan fell while running down the hallway, causing two breaks in his lower left leg. At 18 months, Dylan jumped off an 8-inch surface onto a soft, padded carpet and broke his right leg. The doctors were baffled by the severity of the injury from both falls. Dylan had to re-learn how to walk with the casts on, and then again, when they came off.

For three years, Dylan could not sleep through the night, waking frequently, sometimes 8 times a night. He was checked by his pediatrician, a lip tie specialist, and a chiropractor with no answers. His parents took him to a functional medicine doctor that suggested checking for mold in the home. Tests revealed that there was mold in the home. Dylan and his parents found a rental and left immediately. They left behind most of their belongings that had become contaminated, including Dylans’s toys, stuffed animals, books and clothes.

Since they had to remediate the house to sell it, the family was paying for the mortgage, rental home and the expensive remediation all at once. Their savings were depleted.

Over the next 3 years, Dylan experienced a lot of pain and extreme stiffness in his hips, legs and back. Later, stomach pains developed. X-rays and tests revealed nothing. The pediatrician still had no answers.

Then the family experienced an unexpected tragedy. Three days before his seventh birthday, Dylan found his father unconscious in the bathroom. His father had a heart attack, and paramedics could not revive him. Dylan and his mother were devastated. The trauma affected the health of both mother and son.

Dylan’s legs and hips seemed to get worse. His mother, Sammie, continued to seek help, taking Dylan to an orthopedic doctor, physical therapist, neurologist, urologist and three months with a physical therapist. No answers came from any visits, although he did experience some small gains from the PT. However, his insurance refused to cover additional physical therapy.

As Dylan’s pain, stiffness, weakness, and other symptoms continued, they uncovered mold in the new rental home. Dylan and Sammie slept in the back yard on a trampoline with mosquito netting while packing and finding another place to live. A storm destroyed their trampoline, so they moved into a tent in the back yard for several months. They eventually found a tiny mold-free apartment and again, Dylan lost most of his toys and books.

They found a naturopathic doctor who tested for Lyme disease. It came back positive for both Dylan and Sammie. Finally, they had an answer, but they both were struggling with grief and living on Social Security survivor’s benefits. Affording Lyme treatment seemed impossible. Fortunately, a friend that was in a Lyme support group on Facebook recommended LymeLight Foundation, and Dylan was awarded a grant.

Dylan was able to see his Lyme-literate naturopathic doctor and afford supplements and gas to travel to his doctor visits. They were also able to afford biofeedback, red light, rife and chiropractic therapies. Dylan’s stomach pain was cured, and his tics, a more recent neurological development, also went away. His new practitioners also diagnosed him with osteopenia with the beginning of osteoporosis. It was a long road of therapy, but they kept going.

Through Dylan’s new practitioners, Sammie was able to gain knowledge on how to address her chronic fatigue and brain fog, and she was able to go back to work part time.

They moved near the ocean for a few months and then out-of-state to a rural area where they could both get lots of sun and exercise. Being near the ocean and in nature seems to help a lot. They found a metal container home that acts like a faraday cage, protecting them from harmful frequencies. They discovered biofield tuning and frequency medicine to help Dylan become stronger, to address PTSD, and most importantly, to keep the Lyme and co-infections in check.

Today, Dylan is doing amazing and there are many days when you would not even know he has Lyme. Dylan can ride many miles on his mountain bike and is now even rock climbing! Sammie and Dylan are so grateful their journey has led them to appreciate the peace and health they have found in their new life.
